I told Chris this is one of my favorite pictures he has ever taken – I love how the light has almost a prism-like effect on the web. Thankfully, we didn't see the guy who made these pretty webs! I'm happy to say we didn't see any of the critters on Maui that are gross and/or dangerous. Their cane spiders are ugly, and although they are harmless, they are big and aggressive. Centipedes can be up to 6 inches long, and are either black or blue (yuck)! A sting from one of those guys can feel anywhere from a bee sting to a gunshot blast. Sara and Stacey believed they saw one on a golf course, but thankfully, I guess they are pretty rare unless you are in damp rainforest areas.
