Here is a sample of what the road is like most of the way to Hana. Yes, this road is meant to cover both directions – you need to pull to the side if someone comes the other way. This is one of the better stretches of road, where you can see a decent distance in front of you. On occasion, you need to honk your horn while making turns to warn any drivers coming from the opposite direction that you are there.
