The USS Missouri. Commissioned on June 11, 1944 and decommissioned on February 26, 1955, this battleship was the last battleship commissioned by the US Navy. On this ship, at 9:02 am 1945, General MacArthur announced to the world that the Japanese had surrendered. It is currently a museum.
