Two weeks until I'm 30. There is a large amount of anticipation, but not because I'm be 30. Instead, it is because we are taking a 4 day weekend and going to Zion National Park, then staying in Las Vegas for Sunday night (flying home early Monday). We both really like Zion (probably one of the most beautiful places on Earth), and neither of us have ever been to Vegas.
We plan on doing a lot of hiking at Zion. Depending on how cold it is, we might do the Angel's Landing hike. Neither of us plan on doing it if we see any ice. I'm also hoping the waterfalls are going pretty well. They should make for some nice pictures since I have a wide-angle lens this time.
For Vegas, we are going to try some of the food, check out the hotels, and look at some of the art. Probably do ~$20 of gambling, just to say we did. If Bobby Flay's place is open we plan on eating there for lunch. Then we're going to hit Freed's Bakery for a snack in the afternoon, and have a nice dinner at Emeril's NO Fish House. Depending on if we are awake enough in the morning, we will try to go to the buffet at the Luxor before we head to the airport. Should be pretty cool.
