Our parents met for the first time yesterday.  Talk about weird.  It was somewhat like 2 worlds colliding, except for the part about everything dying and both planets being destroyed.  Everyone seemed to get along, but it is really had to tell.  AM and I definitely picked up a feeling of "unease" from everyone, but they didn't say anything that would indicate a problem.  Just really weird.

For dinner yesterday I made fettuccine ala bolognase.  It went over rather well, but it definitely wasn't my best batch.  It needs more sausage in it, and possibly some more oregano.  Of course, that is besides the point, as the real activity was letting our parents formally meet each other.  The conversation went on for about an hour after dinner, with everyone feeling a little tired at the end of it, so we called it an early evening.

Today I went looking at a couple of rental houses with my parents in the morning, then I went to work out about lunch time.  For dinner we all went out to Abuelo's, which both of our parents really liked.  The food there is always good, and we had a both in a quiet part of the restaurant, so a lot of conversation was possibly.  My parents were telling her parents about their military service for a while, so AM and I got to learn some new things about them as well.

AM and I are taking her parents back to Flagstaff tomorrow so they can catch an early train on Wednesday.  Overall I think their visit went rather well.  It sounds like they had a good time while they were here, and we got to show them some of the places we really like in Arizona.
